The collection is based on school memories and their influence on the formation of a person as an individual.
School time causes mixed and not always clear feelings in the majority, which definitely has an ambiguous effect on the development of the personality of humans, in particular teenagers, during that period. This may be due to the relationship between peers, the teaching staff, with the wearing or lack of a school dress code or uniform, with the relationship between the individual and his parents, or with the atmosphere prevailing in the school and everything related to it.
The story tells about the passive and active pressure on young people, both girls and boys, associated with the clash of several generations and their worldview in Russian schools. Both girls and boys are influenced by adults to create ideal conditions for idealizing and improving the institution of marriage. As a result, a person gets the expression «School-Wedding".
The collection presents a combination of the two ideologies of both the school period and the traditional wedding ceremony in Russia, particularly, in the province. The end of school, graduation, in many aspects, echoes the traditional wedding ceremony. This is a kind of two main dress codes like school uniforms and ball gowns for ladies, and tuxedos for boys, and decorations, and pomposity and the very spirit of the beginning of a new period of life and its celebration. This is a mix of strict costume textures and constructions of ball gowns, complemented by the necessary elements in the form of corsets, lapels, lace, silk, as well as underwear and embroidery hoops, in addition to hand-embroidery of pages from a personal diary during the collection period, as an idea of demonstrating what should not be visible and hidden from everyone. All this together forms a group of memories and sensations caused by strong silhouettes, textures, and details, so this is the goal is to evoke feelings.
